Sentence and Stylistic Features of the Hayretü’l-Ebrar’s Titles

Abstract

According to religious belief naming in languages begins with
Adam. “He taught Adam all the names” (Baccarat/31). Mankind applies
this in every field of his life. In works created with language, in the subtitles
of the works there always appears a naming. In this study, Ali ŞirNevâyî
who even named his divanes separately, in his masnavi called Hayretü’lEbrâr there were emphasized stylistic features of the summary qualified
subchapter’s titles. 63 titles used in masnavi were subjected to sentence
analysis. In the Masnavi, this tradition which we followed in verse texts,
probably from Kutadgu Bilig, contributed to the summit by bringing a form
in terms of sentences. In this form developed by Nevâyî, it was determined
which sentence and word groups he used. The primary result obtained at

the end of the study is that almost every possible form of the noun form is
used in Turkish: Noun clause, noun phrase, verb group, partisiple group,
etc.
